Sage has just released the following in September, 2009:

• Sage 50 Accounts Version 2010.

  • Read Details

- Sage 50 Accounts V2010 Error "Patch":

DO NOT upgrade to V2010 if you are using Bank recurring entries without first obtaining the patch to fix this.

This does not effect you if you are installing from new.

Sage has just released the following in September, 2009:

• Sage ACT Version 2010.

  • Read Details

Current Version is 2009.

     - Service Pack 1.

Sage 200 Business Intelligence:

• This module was previously sold for £2,250.

• It is now being included in the Financial module of the suite.

• All Sage 200 Clients who are at V2009 level and are up to date with their Annual license fee will be entitled to receive this module for Free.

• Sage are expecting to release the BI module in November, 2009.

 Current Version is V5.5.

     - Update 2.

If you are on Sage Accpac Version 5.5, then you are entitled to the following products / modules as they have now been combined.

• Account number change

• Item number change

• Customer number change

• Vendor number change

• AR Inquiry

• Ops Inquiry

Security & Backup of your Company Computer Programs & Data:

• For any number of reasons - disaster, human error, hardware failure, and so on - Your IT system could be brought down at any time.

• It is critical for you to back up your important data on a regular basis.

• You must also store a copy of this off site as your building may be destroyed with all original and backup data.

Use Microsoft Virtual PC:

• You could look at installing Microsoft Virtual PC on a Laptop and create a Virtual PC with the data on a removable USB hard drive.  Make sure that this removable HD is kept secure and off site.

• Load all of the required software in this Virtual PC.

• Load your company data into this Virtual PC.

• You must always abide by the Microsoft rules and regulations when using this Virtual PC.

• If you ever lose your main Server, you will be able to use this Virtual PC to tied you over until a new server is installed with your company systems and data.

• Please note - you will not be able to use this Virtual PC the same as a big company network, but you will be able to use it to keep the company running for a couple of days.
