We have listened closely to our
customers about what they would like to see in this new release and
have added a significant number of new features and functionality to
this latest release.
What’s new?
Here are just a few of the new
features in Sage 200 v4
Stock Control
The traceability functionality has been enhanced to accommodate
up to 15 pieces of additional information such as QA standards
and inspector references per serial or batch numbered items.
Enhancements have been made to the way traceable numbers
are automatically generated, improving accuracy and reducing the
time taken to enter new numbers. In addition, each traceable
stock item can have a use by date specified as a number of days,
weeks months or years. The further ability to specify stock
allocation rules also improves the overall stock handling in
Sage 200.
Sales Order Processing
The Sales Order now records the actual as well as the estimated
profit for a stock item. As a result true sales order
profitability is recorded as the actual cost of an item is
posted back to the order. In addition, enhancements have been
made to the quotation functionality. Users are now able to
quickly create quotes for prospect customers who do not have an
account. On conversion of the quote users will be prompted to
create a new account or link to an existing account.
Purchase Order Processing
You now have the flexibility to specify whether Sales Orders for
direct delivery are consolidated onto a single back to back
purchase order or are maintained as separate orders. The ability
to allocate stock to sales orders at the point of receiving the
goods has also been added. As a result, you can now be notified
of outstanding Sales Orders waiting for items and are provided
with the option to allocate if required, improving efficiency as
stock can be allocated as soon as it is booked in.
Project
Accounting
Sage 200 v4 includes a new, highly configurable costing and
analysis module. Designed for companies who want to analyse
costs and profit by project, the module can be adjusted to suit
the needs of businesses requiring simple or detailed costing and
analysis structures. It provides you with in-depth analysis and
reporting features to make sure your projects remain on target
and profit levels are maintained.
