Hardware
(Minimum Requirements – the bigger the specifications the better
the system will run):
This
always depends on what other applications are running on the
server that you will be installing the Sage CRM product. If
you have it on its own stand alone server, then the
following will be applicable;
Preferably a dual core processor with 2 Ghz or over.
At
least 2 Gig of RAM memory. (See Server memory notes
below)
The
hard disk will depend on the amount of documents &
emails you intend to store against your Customers and
Sales. An 80 Gig drive should be more than enough if
it is not being filled with lots other stuff.
Operating
System; (all must have latest service packs).
Windows
2000 server.
Windows
2003 server.
Windows
XP Professional (Not Home edition).
Microsoft
Internet Information Server (IIS) – this should be included in
the above operating systems.
Microsoft
SQL 2000 or 2005.
You may keep
the Web Server and the Database Server on the same machine as
long as the database does not go over 2 gig.
Microsoft
Office (2000 or later) if you intend to use the upload, template
and mail merge features in CRM.
NOTE:
If you are installing this for over 50 Users, then we will need to
readdress the requirements.
Server Memory:
Database server
memory size is critical to performance and should be no less than
the anticipated database size after one year plus 1 gigabyte. If you
expect the database to be 6 gigabytes after one year plan on a
server with at least 7 gigabytes of memory. If this rule of thumb
indicates a server with 4 or more gigabytes of memory you should
deploy Windows 2003 64-bit edition with 64-bit database software.
Requirements on your Workstation / PC:
Adobe reader
– which you can get free from
www.adobe.com
MS Internet
Explorer V6.0 or greater.
MS Office –
2000 or later.
If you
require Outlook integration;
o2000 with
SR-1 or above, Outlook 2002
(XP), Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007.
